WCS formed a sub-committee to begin follow-up on the vast amount of information gathered at its Spring 2011 information night on the west country. (Click on the link 'discussion results' for the full results of the discussion and input.)

The group has developed a brochure  that will be distributed throughout the summer to users of the west country.  An ad campaign was also developed. In the fall, the sub-committee will look at other ways of educating users of the backcountry and begin the process of developing some Beneficial Management Practices to guide users towards sustainable and responsible use of the west country.
