Fort Assiniboine and Area Multi-stakeholder Alliance (FAAMA)

The Fort Assiniboine and Area Multi-stakeholder Alliance is a community based, non-profit association, whose primary goals are to allow the public to communicate effectively with industry, and to ensure that development is conducted in a responsible manner. FAAMA serves Barrhead County and the Fort Assiniboine area of Alberta.

Our Vision:
Dedicated to improving quality of life and protecting our environment through cooperation, education and innovation.

Our Misson:
Enable all local industry, energy, forestry, power, pipeline, etc. to work with the community and relevant agencies to reduce negative impacts and address concerns of development.

Members

Membership in the Fort Assiniboine and Area Multi-stakeholder Alliance is open to everyone. This group is financially supported by our corporate members, so that all area residents and government representatives are welcome free of charge.

Group Activities

Our spring open house will be held Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 at the Fort Assiniboine Legion from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. The open house will feature displays, handouts, a complimentary meal, door prizes and more. There are also plans in progress for a FAAMA Family Fun Fest in September 2014, so please stay tuned!

Best Management Practices Guide

This guide is a result of ongoing consultations between local residents and industry representatives. It is hoped that the guide will address concerns raised by increased industrial activity in the Fort Assiniboine area. This is a living document, which may be revised as circumstances change in the future. We invite feedback on this document from both the public and industry.
